Founded in Denmark in 1893, Niels Larsen began producing gymnastic and rehabilitation equipment, later expanding to the UK in 1907. Its innovative designs helped shape British Standards and established the brand as a pioneer in gymnastic apparatus.

After joining the Sutcliffe Group in 1971, the business regained independence in 1995 through a management buyout. Today, Niels Larsen Ltd remains a UK-owned company, known for high-quality equipment used by schools, clubs, and training centres.
